Description

The Church of St Lawrence is a parish church built in 1838 by William Mason. It is an octagonal structure made of white brick, designed in the lancet style. The church features groups of five stepped lancets on three sides, with entrances on two other sides and three lancets above one side. Inside, there is a monument to Elizabeth Marshall from 1613, likely from an earlier church. The reredos, dating from 1682, is said to have originated from St Paul's Cathedral. The roof is a grey slate pyramid.
