Description

Messing Lodge is a late 16th century timber-framed house, with a 17th century extension. The building features timber framing and plaster, topped with a red plain tile roof. It has two storeys and an L-shaped plan. The front range is divided into two stages and includes a total of four windows, which are 19th century double hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. There are modern casements on the sides and rear of the house. At the rear, there are two gabled dormers, and the end wing has a hipped roof.
