Description
Shalom Hall is an early 19th-century house constructed of painted brick and topped with a grey slate hipped roof. The building is two storeys high and features a west front with a three-window range, consisting of double-hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. There is a modern single-storey extension on the north side, which has a hipped slate roof and modern casement windows. The house has a square plan and includes internal red brick chimney stacks. Inside, there is an early 19th-century staircase with stick balusters and a moulded, wreathed handrail.
Attached to the main structure is a two-storey west wing, also built in painted brick and dating from the early 19th century, with a grey slate roof and a single-window range of double-hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. The north wall of the wing features a three-window range of double-hung vertical sliding sashes, two of which are blocked at the ground floor, one having a semi-circular head. Above this, there is a central circular window. Additionally, there is a modern single-storey extension to the south. The windows in the main block retain their original folding shutters, while the west wing has vertically sliding shutters.
