Description

This is a 16th-century building comprising numbers 48 to 51 on East Hill. It is two storeys high with attics, and the roofs are tiled. Originally, the upper storey of the building projected to the front, but it has since been underbuilt. Exposed timber framing is visible on the upper storey. Numbers 49, 50, and 51 retain two original windows under the eaves, featuring moulded frames and mullions. The upper-storey windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. There are also smaller shop windows on the ground floor front. Numbers 47 to 52 form a group.
