Description

71 and 72 East Hill is an early to mid-19th century front attached to a 17th century or earlier structure. The building features a steep, slated roof and an irregular weatherboarded rear. The front is made of gault brick and consists of three storeys with five windows, all topped with flat gauged arches. There is a parapet with a small pediment. The windows on the two lower storeys have connected label mouldings, although the western part of the ground storey was altered in the late 19th century, featuring cambered arches over the openings. The Goat and Boot Public House and Nos 71 to 73 East Hill form a group.
