Description
No. 73 East Hill is a stuccoed building from the early 19th century, which is fronting an earlier structure. It has two storeys, with a blocking course and a cornice beneath a roof made of slates and tiles at the rear. The façade features a five-window range of double hung sashes that do not have glazing bars. The centre of the front slightly projects and includes a tripartite window on the upper storey, which has a moulded flat head supported by brackets. The ground floor originally had a central entrance, which has been converted into a window and is flanked by fluted columns in antis. The ground floor is finished with channelled stucco, and there is an arched carriage entrance at the east end with a window above it. This building, along with The Goat and Boot Public House and Nos. 71 to 73, forms a group.
