Description
This building is a police station located on Queen Street, dating from the mid-18th century and extensively altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick and has three storeys with a total of seven windows arranged in a 3:1:3 pattern, plus an additional window on the left side. All windows are sash types, with small panes in the ground floor windows. The building features vestigial brick pilasters and aprons beneath the ground floor windows. There are dentil cornices at each floor level and a pediment above the central first-floor window, which has a roundel above it. To the left, there is a pediment with mock consoles. The entrance has modern double doors, and the roof is not visible due to a parapet. Much of the original garden front remains intact at the back. The police station is part of a group with Nos 33 to 41 (odd).
