Description
The Sun Inn is a probable 17th-century building situated between Maidenburgh Street and Ryegate Road. The west front, facing Maidenburgh Street, has been rebuilt using modern brick and includes a modern addition to the north. However, the original structure remains. To the rear, on Ryegate Road, is a gabled front with the ground floor faced in brick. The inn is two storeys high and has a timber-framed construction with plastered and weather-boarded elevations, covered by a tiled roof.
