Description
East Donyland Hall is an early 17th century house that is situated on a moated site. It was reconstructed in the early 18th century, believed to be around 1730 by David Gansell, and refronted around 1800. The building is constructed of red brick and features a parapet front. It has two storeys, attics, and basements, topped with a red plain tile roof that is hipped at both the east and west ends.
The west front of the house has a range of five windows, which are double hung sashes with glazing bars. On the south side, there is a three-window range that includes a modern "Georgian" entrance door with a hood. Inside, there is notable detailing, including an early 18th century staircase with twisted balusters and a moulded handrail.
