Description

The Woodman is a building of group value, originally a 15th-century timber-framed house with cross wings at the east and west ends. It was refronted in brick during the 19th century and is now painted. The building has two storeys in the wings and one storey with attics in the central block. The windows are mullioned and transomed casements. The gables of the cross wings feature brick rusticated quoins and rusticated window surrounds. A gabled porch projects from the front elevation. The roof is tiled, with a gabled dormer in the centre block. All gables have 19th-century cut and shaped ornamental bargeboards.
