House. Early C18 or earlier, extended in C19. Timber-framed, weatherboarded and plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. Main range of 3 bays facing N, with central stack, forming a symmetrical lobby-entrance plan. Original full-width outshut to rear, with catslide roof. C19 single-storey wing to rear centre, with end stack. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Ground floor, 2 early C19 sashes of 8+8 lights with hinged struts to upper sashes. First floor, 2 early C19 sashes of 8+4 lights with similar struts. Central 6-panel door with 2 top panels glazed; flat canopy on 2 tubular metal stanchions. Symmetrical elevation, weatherboarded on ground floor, plastered above. Other walls weatherboarded. The rear elevation, to left of the rear wing, has one early C19 sash of 6+6 lights. Attached to this wall is an early C19 pump with embossed paterae and scrolls on the lead cistern; plain knob on wrought-iron handle; wooden case complete; some parts of mechanism missing, but reported to be loose on the premises. The rear right elevation has one C20 casement and a half-glazed 4-panel door. Two C19 casements in gabled dormers in rear catslide roof. The rear wing is timber-framed, weatherboarded, roofed with red clay `Roman' tiles. INTERIOR: exposed plain joists of horizontal and square section above rear left room.
