Description

This is a barn located 60 metres south of Rose Hall Farmhouse, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is timber-framed, covered in weatherboarding, and has a peg-tiled roof. The barn consists of five bays, with a central midstrey and a porch on the east side. Inside, it features an oak-framed roof with trapped side purlins, some joggled girts, straight bracing to the tie-beams, primary braced wall framing, and face halved and bladed wall plate scarfs. There is a later outshut to the west. The north and south barns, along with the cow shed, form a group with this barn.
