Description

The building is a stable located 40 meters west of St Leonards, dating from the mid-19th century. It features red English bond brickwork and slate roofs. The structure is long and single-storey with a loft, gabled to the south, and has an unarticulated cross-wing to the north with a hipped corner.

The front elevation includes two gabled, dormer-like loft doors with white boarding and decorative bargeboards, one of which has a hoist pole projecting from it. There are also two small segmented leaded windows situated under the eaves. The cross-wing section has a gable with bargeboards and two 2-light semicircular arched windows.

On the ground floor of the main part, there are two cast-iron 2-light windows with small panes, featuring bosses at the intersections, semicircular arches above, and a radial pattern of cast-iron panes within the arches. The main entrance has a semicircular arch with a plain glazed fanlight above it. A secondary door features a segmental arch, a rectangular fanlight, and a door with two glazed panels over two flush panels. The ground floor of the cross-wing has wide garage doors.

Recessed brick panels are present on the upper parts of each flank and the rear elevation, along with a tall rear wall stack. Inside, the ground floor contains two contemporary stalls and a floor made of yellow paviors.
