Description

This building is a barn located 18 metres south-west of Rose Hall Farmhouse, dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is timber-framed, covered with weatherboarding, and has a peg-tiled roof. The barn consists of five bays and features a central midstrey with a porch on the east side. Inside, the structure has an oak frame with trapped side purlins and a queen strut roof. There are straight braces supporting the tie-beams, and the wall plates have face halved and bladed scarfs. The barn is part of a group that includes the north and south barns and the cow shed.
