Description

The byre, located approximately 30 metres south of Great Yeldham Hall, dates back to the 16th century and has been converted into a spray shed. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The structure consists of four bays that are aligned northwest to southeast, with later farm buildings attached to the northeast and southeast sides. Notable architectural elements include jowled posts, heavy studding, and a crownpost roof that has curved braces supporting the collar-purlin. Additionally, there are wooden hay racks installed on the northeast wall.
