Description
Weybridge Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1600, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame that is plastered, with some painted brickwork in stretcher bond on the east side, and is roofed with red clay corrugated tiles. The house has three bays aligned east to west, with an axial chimney stack located between the middle and east bays, and a 19th-century external chimney stack at the west end. It faces south. There is a 17th or 18th-century lean-to extension at the rear of the west and middle bays, and a 20th-century flat-roofed extension at the rear of the east bay. The building is two storeys high and has a 20th-century half-glazed door, along with a two-window range of 20th-century casements. Inside, the house features jowled posts, chamfered axial beams, and an arched brace to a tiebeam that has been severed for an inserted doorway, as well as a 20th-century grate in the original hearth.
