Description

The Howe is an early 19th-century, attractive two-storey house built of grey gault brick with a grey slate hipped roof. The east front features a three-window arrangement of casements with stucco reveals and moulded heads supported by console brackets. The south front has a five-window range that includes both double-hung sashes and casements, with the central section of three windows set back. There is a well-designed Doric portico on the east front and a verandah on the south side. The house also has timber dentilled eaves and decorative caps on the chimneys, along with good internal detailing.
