Description
The lodge located about 100 meters southwest of Fennes Farmhouse dates from the early 19th century and was extended around 1840. It is constructed of stuccoed brick and features low pitched hipped roofs made of Welsh slate with overhanging eaves. The building has gault brick axial stacks, one of which has a square yellow clay pot.
The original south range includes a canted projecting bay at the front with a doorway. The extension added around 1840 is located at the rear and is designed to match the original structure. The lodge is a single storey with a north front that has a 1:3:1 arrangement. On the left side, there is a small narrow 19th-century 8-pane sash window. The center features a canted projecting bay with 12-pane sashes flanking a central doorway that has a flush panel floor and is fully glazed with small panes. The right side has the rear extension set back.
At the rear, there is a flush panel door and a 12-pane sash window on the left, a 20th-century casement window on the right, and a narrow 19th-century sash window set back in the original range on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
