Description

This is a range of early 16th century timber-framed and plastered houses, altered in the 18th century and later. The building has two storeys and attics, with a three-window facade. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set within flush cased frames. The doors are 20th century replacements. A cart entrance was originally located at the north end, and is now incorporated into numbers 53-57. The roofs are tiled, with three dormers, two of which have horizontal sliding sashes. The interior retains some original doorways, ceiling beams, and joists.
