Description
The Deanery is an early 17th-century timber-framed and plastered building, with an 18th-century plastered brick front on the southeast side. This front features a curvilinear gable at the center, which displays a coat of arms above a central oriel window. The building has two storeys and attics, with a three-window range that includes 20th-century casements. The windows and the central doorway are adorned with stucco hood moulds. The northeast front has four gables, with the outer gables featuring jet ties on the first storey. This side has an eight-window range, some of which also have hood moulds. A 17th-century rainwater head is present, and the roofs are tiled, featuring three original chimney stacks, one of which has panelled sides. The interior has been reconstructed into flats in the 20th century.
