Description

This barn, situated 20 metres east of Stubble's Farmhouse, dates to the late 18th or early 19th century. It is a timber-framed structure with weatherboard cladding on a base of red brick laid in English bond. The roof is covered in corrugated iron. The barn has 8 bays running north-south-east, with two midstreys located on the southwest side. The base walls are approximately 1.67 metres high. The construction features primary straight bracing, face-halved and bladed scarfs in the wallplates, straight tiebeams with bolted knees, and a clasped purlin roof. It remains in exceptionally complete condition. Later farm buildings, of no particular architectural or historic importance, are joined to the southwest side of the barn.
