Description

Daniels Farm is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is timber-framed and plastered, with an early 19th-century gambrel roof covered in plain tiles, a brick ridge stack, and a smaller brick lateral stack. The house follows a lobby-entry plan, with the staircase positioned in front of the stack.

The south front is symmetrical, with 1½ storeys and five bays. It features a central doorway with a 19th-century enclosed porch, which has a boarded gable and bargeboards, and a four-panel door. To the left of the entrance are two 19th-century three-light casement windows, and to the right are two similar casements. Above, there are four 19th-century roof dormers with boarded and bargeboarded gables, each containing a two-light casement. A 20th-century extension has been added to the rear. The interior is said to contain exposed beams and joists, as well as earlier re-used timber in the south-west bay, according to information provided by the county council.
