Description
Nos 41-44 on Larkins Road are a row of cottages dating from the 18th century, which were extended and subdivided in the 19th century. The front wall features some timber framing and red brick, while the rear wall is made of gault brick. The cottages have a tiled roof with a red brick ridge stack from the 18th century and a gault brick ridge stack from the 19th century, likely associated with the subdivision. They are one storey with an attic and have four gable dormers. The front elevation consists of four bays separated by brick pilasters, with two bays flanking a through passage. There are four doorways with segmental arches in gault brick. Each end of one bay has a 19th-century extension, also in gault brick with a tiled roof, and these extensions are two storeys high.
