Description
Caxton Post Office is a cottage and shop dating from the 17th century. It has a timber-framed structure with roughcast render and painted brick, topped with plain tile roofs. The building is one storey with an attic and consists of three units, with an extension to the north. There are two end stacks on the left side of the main range and extension, along with a ridge stack located to the right of the center. The shop is situated in the southern end bay and features five horizontal sliding sash windows and a glazed shop door. Additionally, there are three gabled dormer windows with nine-paned hung sashes. The building has a plastered plinth and an external entry to the cellar.
