Description
The stable block located north-west of Bourn Hall dates back to the early 17th century, with alterations and restorations made in the 19th century and further changes in the 20th century. It is constructed from red brick with sections of stuccoed brick and features plain tile roofs. The building is two storeys high with attics and originally follows a U-plan layout. It includes two-storey embattled turrets at the internal angles between the wings and has a central entrance with a four-centred headed archway. The structure has a moulded brick plinth and parapet gables, which are adorned with corbelled kneelers and apex finials. The windows vary in design, featuring four, three, and two lights with stuccoed mullions, and some window openings have been sealed. Additionally, there is a rebuilt clock turret and cupola.
