Description
The building is a former Baptist Chapel, dating from around 1830. It is constructed of gault brick and features a low-pitched hipped slate roof. The chapel is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay facade. The main entrance has double panelled doors set in a recessed round-headed brick arch, with a painted inscription reading 'Strict Baptist Chapel. Providence' in the tympanum above. On the ground floor, there are two sixteen-paned hung sash windows, each in segmental-headed brick arches, and three similar windows on the first floor. To the left of the main entrance is a school room, which has a shaped parapet that conceals the roof, a four flush-panelled door with a round-headed brick arch, and the inscription 'School Room' in the tympanum. This section also has one sixteen-paned hung sash window.
