Description
Redhouse Farmhouse is a house from the early to mid-18th century. It is primarily constructed of red brick, with timber framing that is rendered on the south gable end wall. The roof is tiled and hipped at the front of the north wing. The building has an L-shaped plan and features a square red brick ridge stack on the main range, along with a flush end stack at the east end of the wing.
The farmhouse has two storeys and includes a brick plat band between the floors. There are original gauged brick arches and openings for a range of three later fifteen-pane hung sash windows. The original doorway is somewhat hidden by a later doorcase and door, and it is flanked by two windows that have similar arches and brick surrounds with ovolo moulding. The north wing also has two storeys, with one hung sash window on each floor. The building has been extended at the rear.
