Description

The Moat House is a 17th-century house located on the High Street in Great Eversden. It is timber-framed, with plaster rendering and a tiled roof that is hipped to the return. The building has an internal stack slightly off the ridge. The layout is L-shaped and incorporates a lobby entry. It is two storeys high, with two 19th-century casement windows on each floor. A panelled door leads to the lobby. Inside, the rooms have intersecting ceiling beams on both the ground and first floors. The house is associated with a moated site.
