Description
Eversden House is a late 18th-century house, although it may have earlier origins. It is timber framed and has plaster render and tiled roofs. A stack is located at the north-west gable end, and another is situated between the main range and the kitchen wing. The house is arranged in an L-shape. The main range is two storeys high with an attic, and features two hipped dormers. The symmetrical front facade consists of two two-storey canted bays, with twelve-pane hung sashes on either side of the central doorway. The doorway has a moulded doorcase and a flat hood supported by cut brackets. A panelled door leads inside. The kitchen wing is single-storey with an attic. Internally, there is a large hall with an open-well staircase.
