Description
Nos. 2 and 4 High Street are two dwellings that were formerly a farmhouse, dating from the mid-17th century with 19th-century alterations. The buildings are timber-framed and plastered, featuring a half hipped thatched roof and a rectangular red brick ridge stack located to the left of center. They are one storey with an attic and have a three-unit plan. There are two boarded doors on either side of the stack, accompanied by two horizontal sliding sash windows, with the right-hand window having a drop leaf shutter. The property also includes two horizontal sliding sash dormer windows with plain tiled gable roofs. A pargetted panel with a crowned, winged head is present on the street facade. Inside, the interior reveals exposed floor frame and ceiling beams.
