Description
The Manse is a house, possibly dating back to the 16th century, with substantial rebuilding around 1700 and alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, timber framing, and roughcast rendering, with a plain tiled roof. The building features two side stacks on the cross wing, a tall internal stack on the main range, and a reduced gable end stack on the right-hand side.
The house comprises a single-storey main range with an attic, and a two-storey cross wing to the northwest. The front features a panelled door with an applied board and a flat canopy supported by shaped brackets, three three-light ground floor casement windows, one first-floor casement window, and a casement window to a gabled dormer window.
Inside, the attic reveals a tie beam with curved braces. The building was purchased in 1918 and used as a manse.
