Description

The White House is a house dating from the 18th century or early 19th century, with a later addition from the 19th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a painted brick plinth. The house has a tall rectangular ridge stack and a plain tiled roof added in the 20th century. It stands two storeys high and follows a two-unit lobby entry plan, with a gable facing the street and a rear extension that creates an irregular double pile plan. The central entrance has a 19th-century panelled door with a moulded architrave and corner bosses, topped by a flat canopy with soffit panels. There are two casement windows on the ground floor and three on the first floor.
