Description
The Hoops Public House is a public house dating from the late 17th century, with an addition from the 18th century and alterations from the 19th century. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with a painted brick plinth, which is covered with weather boarding. The building has two red brick ridge stacks and a rear side stack, with roofs that are thatched and tiled, the latter being from the 20th century.
The original range to the north is one storey with an attic, while the two-storey addition to the south has its main elevation facing west. The north range includes a two-panelled door and three ground floor windows with glazing bars, along with three casement dormer windows. The south range has a panelled door at the center, with three ground floor windows and four first floor windows, which include five twelve-paned hung sash windows.
