Description
Farmhouse. It dates from the late 17th or early 18th century, with additions from the early 19th century. The farmhouse is constructed of gault brick, with a hipped slate roof and end stacks. There are also plain tile roofs to the rear ranges, with four stacks. The building likely originally comprised an L-shaped house dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, to which an early 19th-century range was added to the east, featuring a symmetrical three-bay facade. The front of the building has three first-floor and three ground-floor windows with sixteen panes and twelve panes respectively, set within cambered brick arches. The main entrance is on the south side, with a 19th-century doorcase of reeded wood featuring corner bosses and a glazed eight-panelled door. Inside, there are boxed ceiling beams, a large central stack backing onto a cross passage blocked by a 19th-century staircase, and 18th-century panelled doors.
