Description

No. 11 Fishers Lane is a cottage built in 1841, as indicated by the date on the gable end facing the road. The structure is timber framed or made of clunch, with a roughcast render over a brick plinth and topped with long straw thatch. It features a grey brick chimney with four flues. The cottage has a T-plan layout and is two storeys high. There are two late 20th-century windows in the original opening on the gable end. The doorway is located at the angle between the two ranges of the cottage. This property was built on land that was allotted to the Bendyshe family in 1836 as part of an enclosure award.
