Description

Oak Tree Cottage is a 15th century open hall with a 17th century cross-wing on the left side. The building features a timber frame, plaster rendering, and colour-washed brick. It has a thatched roof that is half-hipped over the hall range and hipped over the cross-wing, with a red brick ridge stack. The hall range is one storey with an attic, featuring three dormers and three modern casement windows on the ground floor. The entrance is located opposite the stack. The two-storey cross-wing has one casement window on each floor. At the rear, there is a modern thatched range. The open hall originally had a floor inserted in the 17th century.
