Description
Nos. 6 and 8 Overend is a cottage, house, and bakery built in the late 17th century and 19th century. The structure is made of coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings and features Collyweston stone slated roofs with chamfered stone copings on the parapet of the original building. There is a corbel on the southwest corner of the bakehouse, a rebuilt brick chimney stack on the left side, and a 20th-century chimney stack on the right side. The original range is one storey with an attic, while there is a two-storey addition to the south with two bays. The building has two casement windows on the first floor and three gabled casement dormer windows. There is one half-glazed door to the left and one panelled door centrally located on the original range, along with two ground floor casement windows and one canted bay window. The south gable features horizontally sliding sash windows.
