Description

This tombstone and coping, located approximately 5 metres south of the nave in the churchyard of St Helen Parish Church, dates from 1641. Made of limestone, it features plain coping with a foot stone and a gabled headstone. The inscription reads, "HERE LIE THE BODY OF M. WILLIAM COCK - ERIILL WHO WAITE - ETH FOR A GLORIOUS RESURRECTION WHO DECDTHE 24 DAY OF FEBRUARY."
