Description
No. 49 High Street is an early 18th-century house that stands two storeys tall with attics. The building is constructed of rendered brick featuring imitation masonry joints. It has a steeply pitched roof that is both slated and tiled, with a hipped roof over the rear stair turret. A ridge stack is present, and there is a band between the floors. The house has two flat-roofed dormer windows and boarded eaves supported by paired modillions. At both floor levels, there are two recessed hung sash windows with glazing bars set in flat arches. The entrance features a central four-panelled door.
