Description

The Particular Baptist Meeting House, located on Crown Place, was built around 1839 and later enlarged in 1862 and 1887. It features a slated roof and is constructed of Gault brick. The entrance faces East Street and includes an architraved, pedimented stone doorway, which is flanked by sash windows. Above the doorway, there is a round-arched window with a date plaque in the lunette. Along Crown Place, there are four round-arched windows. This building, along with the Particular Baptist Sabbath School, the Public Institution, and Nos. 10 to 12 (consecutive), forms a group of significant structures.
