Description

The building is a former hosiery mill, dating to circa 1850. It was originally known as Huntingdon Hosiery Mill, and is now named Riverside Mill. Constructed in three sections, the mill is built of white brick. The front section is three storeys high with an attic, and has eight windows. It features five dormers, round-headed sash windows on the ground floor, and casement windows above. The rear section is lower, with three storeys and ten windows, all of which are two-light casements. A rear wing extends at a right angle and is three storeys high with two-light casement windows, some of which are obscured. All roofs are tiled, and are partly damaged. The building is said to be the oldest factory in the Huntingdon district and occupies a prominent position at the south end of Huntingdon Bridge.
