Description
Walden House is a late 17th-century building located on Market Hill in Huntingdon. It is two storeys high and features dormers, constructed from red brick with stone dressings. The front is accented by Ionic pilasters at both ends and includes five windows with carved architraves, adorned with swags on the aprons below the top floor. The windows are fitted with sash frames and lack glazing bars, and there is a modillioned cornice above. The entrance has a later, likely early 19th-century, six-panel door with a plain pilastered surround and a dentil cornice. An elaborate 18th-century fanlight enhances the entrance. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles, featuring three flat-topped dormers and a prominent brick stack with keyed recessed niches.
