Description
Caldecote Manor Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building located on a moated site. It is likely an early 17th century farmhouse that was almost entirely rebuilt in the late 17th century. During this period, a service wing was added to the north. The structure features red brick, which incorporates some timber framing from the original house. The north wall of the south range has a 19th century gault brick casing and buttressing. The roofs are plain tiled, with a large red brick stack at the junction of the north and south ranges. There is a band between the two storeys of the south range, which has four 19th century recessed hung sash windows with glazing bars. The entry is through a later gabled porch. The north range consists of two storeys and attics with a two-room plan, featuring one gabled dormer and two windows on each storey. Inside, some timber framing is visible in the south range, and there is a large inglenook fireplace in the north range, with a smaller fireplace abutting the east room of the south range.
