Description
Pothecary Cottage is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on the north side of High Street in Pidley-cum-Fenton. The building is constructed of red brick and gault brick, with some parts rendered, and features a slate roof with end stacks. It has cambered arches above two hung sash windows, which have slender glazing bars, flanking a blind window opening. The central doorway is framed by a reeded doorcase that includes boss enrichments at the corners and a moulded cornice. To the left, there is a two-storey wing made of gault brick, also with a slate roof, and each storey has a similar window.
