Description

This is a late 16th-century cottage with an attached barn and a later service wing added to the east. The cottage is timber-framed and rough-cast rendered, with a thatched roof that is half-hipped on the south gable. A brick ridge stack sits atop the main roof. The barn to the north is a single bayed structure with exposed timber framing and a side purlin roof. The service wing to the east has painted brick facing and an end stack. The cottage has one storey with attics. It features two gabled casement windows with glazing bars, and a plank door to the east wing, alongside two windows. Inside, the cottage includes stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops to inserted floors. Remains of a baking oven are visible projecting from the west wall.
