Description

Appletree Cottage is a cottage, possibly dating from the 17th century, with a three-unit plan raised to a two-story height in the early 19th century. The timber-frame construction is rough-cast rendered, with an asbestos roof and a ridge stack. It has two first-floor horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, and two modern replacements at ground-floor level. A boarded door provides entry. Inside, there are two sealed inglenook hearths and raised and fielded six-panel doors.
