Description

43A High Street is an early 19th-century building that features a front added to an earlier structure, which is likely timber framed. The exterior is finished with colour washed brick and topped with a steeply pitched old tiled roof. The building has two storeys and includes two first-floor sash windows that are nearly flush with the wall and have glazing bars. The shop front, which has been altered in the early 19th century, is designed with simplified Doric pilasters and a frieze cornice. At the back, there is an early 19th-century wing that includes a mansard roof.
