Description
Ferrar House is an early 18th-century building located on the south-west side of High Street in Huntingdon. It is two storeys high with attics, constructed of red brick, and features a hipped tile roof with three hipped dormers and seven windows. The building has a moulded brick band between the storeys and a cornice with modillions at the eaves. Since the publication of the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments report, the original central doorway and an adjoining window have been removed and replaced with a large archway. The front has been completely refronted with modern bricks and replacement sash windows with glazing bars. However, the side and rear elevations remain original. The garden front includes segmental arched keyed windows, a Venetian window above the archway, and a keyed bullseye window above that.
