Description

A four-storey tower mill dating from the mid-19th century, constructed of light red brick. The tower tapers upwards and lacks a cap. A panelled door faces west, and windows are present at each floor level, each with a segmental brick arch. The mill formerly contained three grinding stones and was last in use around 1920. An inscription reads "W.L. Clark Houghton, 1873," indicating the work of a millwright. A report by the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings was made in 1938.
