Description
The Plough Public House, dated 1841 on the north-facing gable wall, is part of a row of cottages on East Street in Great Gransden. This building features a long range to the north that includes stables and a hayloft. It stands two storeys high and is constructed of red brick with low pitched, hipped slate roofs. The west elevation showcases two loft doors at the first floor, three hung sash windows with glazing bars set in cambered arches, and one horizontal sliding sash window with glazing bars. The ground floor has three windows, including a large three-light hung sash window to the right of a six-panelled door in a moulded wooden frame, along with two double boarded doors to the north. The building is included for its group value with the cottages in East Street.
